Verilot is a read-only diagnostic at /check. The scan is free (capped). The 2025 tax-year pack is a one-time purchase that finishes that year past the free event cap. There are no accounts and no subscriptions. By using the site you accept these terms.
Verilot is built and operated by one person — an individual proprietor (sole trader) established in Japan, trading as KIZUNA Creation. "We" below means that one operator. The Legal Notice explains how operator disclosure works at this stage.
What the service does
Verilot compares broker/exchange-reported cost basis against public on-chain transaction history and highlights where they diverge — for example, transfers between your own wallets that a non-linking tool would misread as a taxable disposal. The free scan is read-only: it never requests private keys, seed phrases, or wallet-connect signing access, and it cannot move or custody funds.
Who can use it
You need to be old enough to enter a contract where you live (18 in most places), and you may only submit wallet addresses that are yours or that you are authorized to analyze — for example, a client's addresses where the client has asked you to. If you are using Verilot for a firm, you confirm you are allowed to do so on its behalf.
Not tax, legal, or accounting advice
Verilot is a diagnostic tool, not a tax preparer, accountant, or law firm. Nothing on this site or in scan results constitutes tax, legal, or accounting advice, and using it creates no professional, fiduciary, or client relationship of any kind. Verify any finding with a qualified professional before you rely on it for a filing. Filing positions, amended returns, and any resulting tax, penalties, or interest remain yours and your advisor's decision and responsibility.
No warranty, use at your own judgment
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. The diagnostic reads public data from third parties we do not control — a public block explorer, public Ethereum RPC endpoints, and a public price API (all named in the Privacy Policy). Those sources can be incomplete, throttled, delayed, or wrong, the free scan caps how much history it reads, and the report states its own limitations. Always sanity-check results against your own records. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, in which case those exclusions do not apply to you.
What you own, what we own
You keep whatever you put in. The site, the copy, and the diagnostic engine behind it stay ours. The output of your scan is yours to use, keep, print, and send to your accountant or client — no permission needed. If you press "Save & get a shareable link," you are asking us to host that result for the retention window described in the Privacy Policy; you can delete it earlier yourself. Please do not resell the service, pass off its output as your own product, scrape it in bulk, or reverse engineer it.
Acceptable use
Don't use the free scan to abuse, scrape at scale, or attempt to disrupt the service for others. We may rate-limit or block traffic that looks automated or abusive. Good-faith security research is welcome and is not "abuse" — the rules for it are in the Legal Notice.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law: we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, for lost profits, lost data, or lost business, or for tax, penalties, interest, or professional fees you incur because you acted on a scan result without having a qualified professional verify it.
Our total liability for all claims relating to Verilot, taken together, will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim and (b) US$100 (or its equivalent in Japanese yen). We are pricing this honestly: a one-person diagnostic cannot carry unlimited exposure, and you should treat its output accordingly.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under the law that applies to you — including liability for fraud, for our own intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or for death or personal injury. If you use Verilot as a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live continue to apply and this section applies only as far as those rules allow.
Your responsibility to us
If a third party brings a claim against us because you used Verilot unlawfully, in breach of these terms, or on wallet addresses you had no right to analyze, you agree to cover the direct costs we reasonably incur from that claim. This does not apply to anything caused by our own act or omission, and it is limited to what applicable law allows.
Refunds and cancellations
The tax-year pack is a one-time charge (currently $79 for 2025), taken by Stripe on their checkout page. The free scan is not charged. This section is the refund policy for that pack.
The window. You can ask for a full refund of the pack within 14 days of the charge. You do not need to justify the request, and we will not ask you to sit through a retention pitch. If the tool did not find what you hoped it would find, that is a perfectly good reason and we would rather have the feedback than the money.
Beyond 14 days, a charge is generally final. We will still refund, at any time and regardless of the window: a duplicate charge, a charge after you had already cancelled, a charge for a period in which the service was substantially unavailable, and any charge made in error on our side. If you think one of those applies, say so and we will look at the record rather than at the calendar.
There is no subscription to cancel. The pack is a one-time charge for that tax year. Asking us to forget the entitlement in this browser is not a refund — if you want the money back, ask for a refund inside the 14-day window.
How to ask. Email support@verilot.app from the address on your Stripe receipt, or include the date of the charge and the last four digits of the card. One person reads that inbox. There is no form, no ticket queue, and no phone tree.
How long it takes. We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days (Japan time) and tell you yes or no within 5 business days. Approved refunds are submitted to the payment processor within 5 business days of that decision, back to the original payment method — we cannot send a refund to a different card, bank account, or wallet than the one that paid. After we submit it, how long the money takes to appear on your statement is up to your card issuer or bank, typically 5 to 10 business days, and we have no way to speed that part up. If a refund has not landed 15 business days after we told you it was submitted, email us and we will send you the processor's reference for it.
What we will not refund. Charges disputed through a chargeback while we are still working on the same request (please give us the 5 business days first — a chargeback takes the matter out of our hands and slows it down for both of us), and charges on an account we suspended for abuse or unlawful use as described above. Nothing in this section limits any refund or cancellation right you have under mandatory law where you live, including consumer withdrawal rights; where those rules give you more than this policy does, those rules win.
Suspension, and stopping
You can stop using Verilot at any time — there is no account to close. You can delete a saved result yourself, and you can ask us to delete your waitlist email at any time. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the free scan without notice; we may also block access that is abusive or unlawful. A tax-year pack already paid for stays usable in this browser for the rest of its entitlement window. The sections on advice, warranties, liability, and governing law survive after you stop using the service.
If something goes wrong: talking first
Before starting formal proceedings, please email us and give us 30 days to sort it out. One person reads that inbox and answers. These terms contain no mandatory arbitration clause and no class-action waiver — we are not asking you to sign away a forum.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of Verilot, are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. That is because the operator is an individual proprietor established in Japan; the product being about United States crypto tax mechanics does not change where its operator sits.
For any dispute that reaches a court, the Japanese district court with jurisdiction over the operator's principal place of business will be the exclusive court of first instance. If you use Verilot as a consumer, this does not take away the protection of mandatory rules of the country where you live, including any right you have there to bring proceedings in your local courts. If you need to know the specific court before you can approve Verilot internally, ask us by email and we will tell you in writing.
These terms are written in English, and the English text governs.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product changes (for example, when a new tax-year pack ships or pricing changes). Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date, before they take effect. If you keep using Verilot after that, the updated terms apply.
The rest
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force and that part is read as narrowly as needed to make it valid. If we do not enforce something immediately, we have not given it up. Together with the Privacy Policy, these terms are the whole agreement between you and us about Verilot at this stage. You may not transfer your rights under them; we may transfer ours if the project moves to a company or is acquired, and we will say so on this page if that happens.
